Privacy Policy
Frostbite Companies Limited ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This notice explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
- Who we are
- Frostbite Companies Limited is a firm based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. Frostbite Media is one of its service lines. This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through frostbitemedia.ca (the "site").
- What we collect
- The site is static and informational — no accounts, sign-ups, or contact form. The personal information we receive is what you choose to send us by email or phone, such as your name, contact details, organization, and message. Our hosting provider also records standard technical data — IP address, request time, browser type, and user agent — to operate and secure the site.
- How we use it
- We use what you send to reply to you, route your enquiry to the right service area, do the work if we engage, manage correspondence, and keep ordinary business records. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.
- Our legal basis
- We collect and use personal information on the basis of your consent — given when you contact us — and as needed to take steps toward or carry out an engagement and to meet our legal and business obligations, consistent with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
- Cookies and tracking
- We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies on this site. Firebase Hosting keeps standard access logs (IP, timestamp, user agent, path) for operational and security purposes only.
- Sharing
- We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us run the business, such as our email and hosting providers, and only as needed. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or operations.
- Where your data is processed
- The site is served by Firebase Hosting (Google Cloud), which may process request data outside Canada, primarily in the United States. PIPEDA permits cross-border processing where comparable protection is in place; we rely on Google's contractual and technical safeguards.
- Retention
- We keep correspondence and related records only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose you gave it, or for business, legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, then dispose of it. You can ask us to delete correspondence, and we will respond subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
- Your rights
- Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for our use. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
- Links to other sites
- The site links to other sites, including frostbitecompanies.ca and fouresse.ca. Their privacy practices are their own; this notice covers only frostbitemedia.ca.
- Security
- The site is served over HTTPS on Google's infrastructure, which provides the underlying security controls. The strongest protection is the one we already practice: we collect as little as possible, so there is little to expose.
- Children
- The site is not directed at people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email legal@frostbitecompanies.ca and we will delete it.
- Changes to this notice
- When we update this notice, we change the date shown above. We will flag material changes at the top of the page for a reasonable period.
- Governing law
- This notice is governed by the laws of the Northwest Territories and applicable Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA.
- Contact
